The 14 gauge steel feels rock solid once it's on, and sitting 8 inches above the hardtop gives plenty of clearance for bulky gear without any wind noise I notice. I'm a bit of a worrier with installs, but the no-drill brackets really did fit my 4-door JL cleanly after a quick read of the directions.
