BACKBONE HITCH SKID

I'm impressed how the skid plate doubles as a wheel chock—finally a hitch accessory that actually earns its keep. The recovery point feels solid and well-placed, and it's nice not having to worry about scraping the bumper on uneven pavement.

My trailer wiring used to get smashed all the time, but this skid completely protects it. The recovery point feels rock-solid, and the wheel chock feature has already saved me on a sloped driveway.

I use the non-slip step every time I load gear into the truck bed, and it’s way more solid than I expected. The recovery point also feels rugged enough to yank me out of a muddy ditch without hesitation.
